shorts/hat: thrifted shirt/shoes: uo necklace: gift from flapper doodle
last wednesday i had decided not to take outfit pictures due to it being so hot and humid.
then of course, we pass this abandon building and it was love at first sight.
there is something about old buildings.
i think it is because i start to daydream about all the people from the past that have walked through the door and wonder what their lives where like and what they wore.
silly, i know.
What an amazing building! I'm glad you decided to take photos there! The pale colors and dots/floral pattern mix of your outfit are very pretty. I have that same top in red...I love it!
ReplyDeleteAw, i'm glad you decided to take these pictures! You look adorable and so comfortable in this heat!
ReplyDeleteSending your package tomorrow!

It's not silly at all. It made for some awesome pictures! I love the peter pan collar and the flats!
ReplyDeleteComplex Cardigans
yup, you never know when inspiration will hit. good thing you had your camera!
ReplyDeleteI always wonder that too. Maybe silly, maybe romantic?
ReplyDeleteThat's the exact reason I love vintage clothing.. to imagine others wearing it and making memories or a difference or something. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty just like you always do, and I can't wait for us to meet up one of these days and eat pancakes! Love you!
These photographs are gorgeous. Loving the vintage vibe and your shorts- uhm yea I love them.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any sweeter than pretty straw hats, Peter Pan collars, & mysterious old buildings. I'm in awe of these gorgeous photos Gee! The outfit is one of my favorites of yours to date:)
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so cute! I love those shorts and the peter pan collar on the shirt.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you mean about it being too hot and humid. I'm from Louisiana, and the weather here is just terrible. I can only stand to be outside for 5 or 10 minutes. It's so gross.
Looking forward to your next post! I just adore your blog.

Fabulous photos!! I really love the cute summer outfit too. And I fantasize about what people used to do in old buildings too. Particularly old warehouses, for some reason.

It's not silly at all. I do the same thing. I was walking down a street in town with a lot of Victorian houses, and I got so preoccupied thinking about all the women who had lived in those houses throughout the years and what their lives were like.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I love old houses too! My imagination often runs wild and I make up stories about who lived there in years past. Those shoes, those shoes. I LOVE them! I have been on the lookout for a pair with no luck. But I envision myself finding a pair for the Fall! Have a lovely week! xx
