tip of the day

tip of the day:
do not take pictures near a middle school at about 2:45-3:00 pm.
you will be trying to casually take outfit pictures minding your own business
and then the stop light will turn red...
you will look up and 10 school buses full of middle schoolers will be staring at you.
not only is it awkward but you will walk away with only 2 pictures
and a very happy husband because the photos went super quick.

  20. Haha! Oh man... I HATE when stuff like that happens when I'm taking outfit photos. That's why I've been taking mine inside all winter, although it's high time I started doing it outside again. I'm tired of the bad indoor lighting. These photos are still lovely, though, and I LOVE your shoes.

  21. You got two super cute pictures! I had to laugh when I was reading this because I was taking pictures a few days ago and had kids watching me from the windows of the school I live across from. I thought some of the pictures turned out better because I was really laughing at the whole situation. To make it even better I was totally alone with a tripod. haha! Anyway, you look sweet and the kids who saw you are lucky!
    XOXO

  22. So funny. But you look absolutely gorgeous, so they were all just jealous :) Funny comment above. Definitely good you were your husband and not a tripod :)

  28. Haha that's hilarious. I would be the same way. Awkkkwardddd. I can't stand taking outfit pictures with other people around.

You look so beauitful though and I really wish you got a few more pictures! The colors in this outfit are so fantastic!

  29. haha! I live right across the street from a middle school so I know exactly what you mean! It's best to be inside when school lets out, no matter what ;-D

That background with the blue bricks is gorgeous, though, against your outfit! It's worth putting up with inquisitive teenagers to get some snapshots in that spot! :)

  30. This is such a lovely outfit! That floral jacket is awesome, and I love the blue color of your heels!
Oh my goodness, the same thing happens to me whenever I try to take pictures in my local park. Kids always show up and stare/laugh at me! Oh well. I think these pictures turned out great though :)

  31. haha i had a similar embarassing situation at the wkend where a group of kids saw dave taking my picture and just yelled at us the whole time "why are you taking her picture" quckest photo session ever! :) x

  32. i love this yellow shirt, gee. I've been looking for one like it myself.

ya know, i still find it embarassing when anyone spots me taking outfit photos so I would be just moritfied if all those kids were around. I'm glad the pictures came out well anyway!

You look lovely - the colours are awesome and I love your jacket and shirt together - great combination!

  39. You are funny. That has happened to me before, but with adults who came rushing out of a building I thought was dead empty! Ugh. I've gotten a little more used to it - "Hi everyone, this is me and my tripod. No, I don't have an art project, No I haven't lost my mind, and NO I do not want you to take my picture (but thanks, that's nice of you to offer)". Hehe.

The first picture is beyond stunning.

What kind of camera do you have, darling?

  47. Lol! Your little blurb for this post was too funny. I can't imagine anything more awkward than dozens of pre teens in their Beiber shirts staring at you from tiny bus windows. They probably wouldn't know what to do with someone rocking an amazing outfit like this! Seriously <3 what you did with my skirt. The color combination is just incredible :D
