hello loves.
this past week i went back home to tennessee to be with my parents for a few days.
due to my husband's job, we can not be with either of our families during christmas day.
(he works christmas eve and day after christmas)
so i thought i would spend the week before christmas with them and it was wonderful.
i really wished we lived closer... the 6 1/2 hour drive is never fun.
****
while in tennessee, my mother gave me my christmas present.
to my surprise,
it was her beautiful dress she had gotten in paris, france when she had visited about 14 years ago.
my mother had it made especially for her & i was astonished when it fit me perfectly.
it is probably the most expensive thing i own now.
i am utterly in love with it.
sadly, it will most likely sit in my closet.. due to it being so fancy.
i can not wait to pass it down to my daughter...
(i would like to thank my wonderful mother for taking these pictures.)
i hope you all have a wonderful christmas.
enjoy your loved ones & eat lots of food.
xoox.

ReplyDeleteI am going to echo the sentiment of everyone else but quite seriously this dress is amazing. Fits you so perfectely. It is quite fancy but I think you could dress it down with a cardigan, a long necklace and some tights and wear it for a night out that isn't necessarily a cocktail party.
